When first starting out online as a marketer,

what are the fears many are faced with?

New adventures can be quite overwhelming.

Fear can grip all of us at different times

and for a myriad of reasons.

(This is the third in our series on beginning marketing.The first was regarding the marketing jungle online and the second was in regard to a marketing mindset)

What is the marketing fear really about?

Let’s see if we can narrow down some fears that might be holding you back from success. Maybe you can identify with one of these.

The fear of:

• Failure
• Bankruptcy
• The unknown
• How to start marketing
• Success

Each of these is real and justifiable. All marketers that are currently working online have experienced one or more of these fears during their march to success. They just found a way to get through them and move forward.

As we begin to explore avenues that can provide us a break from the statusquo, sketching out a plan, a road map, that provides small landings that we can realistically reach, the process becomes doable.

Internet marketing information is available just by typing in a question in any of the search engines. Depending on your specific question or concern, you will be able to find answers. Having this type of power at your fingertips is what placed the initial thought of pursuing internet marketing in the first place. You see the potential and understand the far reaching capabilities the internet provides.

Having internet marketing fears is understandable when you may never have done anything remotely related. There will be ghosts, voices and doubts many steps along the way. When you are looking in the mirror, this is when what is in your eyes, your heart, and your soul will be heard. And only you will know what you can do about it.

In the next entry, we shall look to break down each of the fears listed and provide some direction for each to move beyond. The bottom line of internet marketing is not so much the product or service being provided, but you the individual. You are marketing you in a unique and wide ranging landscape.
