Planning is very important to accomplishing goals and dreams
but the best laid plans won’t work if there is not a strong foundation first.
To begin a business based at home using the internet is a very smart
beginning provided the individual sets up their foundation first.

All athletes know that in order to perform at their highest level
and achieve success, their footwork must be solid. The feet perform first
to set the position for the athlete to perform whatever task necessary
and this hold true for a business owner; even the internet marketer.

What is meant by ‘setting the foundation’ when we
are speaking of a business based at home?

The Foundation Must Be Set

When a decision is made to work out of one’s home, there are several elements
to be taken into consideration. One is what the business will be,
and second, an idea of how the process should progress.
Most believe that a hobby is the better choice while still others will do
much research before this decision is made.

However what most do not understand is what the process will entail,
especially if there is little money to invest in the building of the business.
This is when a solid plan must be put together. Not necessarily the normal
successful business plan but at least an outline of their particular
business structure, marketing strategies and expense layouts.

The foundation can be a simple outline that states what the business will provide,
what avenue the business will begin marketing, the overall message relative to
the business and a limit on monthly expenses for gaining knowledge and to advertise.

The Strength Of Ideas

Solid marketing foundation will come from ideas and trying different
ideas out, whether they are successful or don’t go so well. In the beginning these
ideas can be plentiful due to the excitement level of starting something new.
More and more ideas come out of the initial idea offering.

Not implementing is the stranglehold of some business owners working from home
because they are unsure. However, if most of these ideas are never tried,
how would one know whether or not if they are good or bad?
By trying provides tremendous educational value to know what is good,
what is bad and what can be massaged into something better.

Ideas and creativity is the sub-flooring of the business based at home.
Creating the plan of attack and the basic budget of progression;
creating the message to be instilled within all marketing elements;

Be Willing To Complete

It does not matter what plans are in place, what information is written down
to follow, what ideas are recorded or what message is decided upon if nothing
is completed. To start is only a start; the action is fine but nothing is truly accomplished
by starting. It takes finishing to know the good or bad of any decision.

To work any business based at home is to understand how much of your time
is required, the investment you must make in doing most of the tasks early on so
that you know the model you idealized – works. You must set up the domain name,
the hosting, the content, the images, the videos, the ads, the message;
all the time keeping track of money spent.

It can be lonely and there is certainly a large amount of unknowing direction.
Being unsure of oneself when starting something new is always present,
so there is a tremendous amount of self-trusting of the ideas
and initial plannings that must be employed.

The business owner must be willing to complete the tasks, to finish actions.
If a commitment is made to have 3 blog posts a week, these must be done;
if the commitment is to write out 6 months worth of emails, these must be done;
if the commitment is to prepare ads for a product or service, these must be done.

Commitment to complete begins with the business foundation and by
completing a foundational principal, the home-based business has a higher level
of success. Because the individual is able to follow this plan, is able to understand the
daily goals and promises set, and has the end resultant in mind. By completing even one
small task improves the progress – each step is made by moving one foot in front of the
other and each placement of the forward step provides a
solid foundation in which to embark on the next step.

The solid foundation you prepare today will benefit you tomorrow
as you are working on and in your business based at home. With a solid foundation in place,
there will be no stopping your advancement into a new challenge.

Creativity; our precious gift that happens to be used only by a few.
There are those that paint, mold, draw, make items in the basements or
garages around the world, relaxing their daily or weekly stresses.
These creative types have an outlook to life different
than many ‘go-to-work’ individuals.

The expressions of an individual are in what can be created and
not the perfection or integrities of it as much as it is the actual
creative process. Whether the form is color or language,
creative ideas first fester within our mind.

It is ’seen’ then forged from that vision.

It may be a sketch or elaborate drawing that depicts the creative
aspect first but then to have it made or physically created,
it must be developed and built. That is when a blueprint is created, refined,
tried, refined again and eventually built. This process can be for a
physical product as much as a written one.

If you are working online to create an online business, you may be
reading certain works that have been suggested by those you trust.
You may be on several “guru’s” lists hoping to have creative thinking
absorbed back to you by reverse osmosis – hope shall continue.

It was only yesterday that the uplines stated to ‘make a list’ of
warm market hopefuls, family and friends, who you could contact.

It was only yesterday that you were told to walk into areas
with many others providing your contact information to anyone
that would stop long enough to hear the beginning bit of your spiel.

It was only yesterday you were told to place business cards
under wipers; sit at coffee shops and engage people in conversations;
listen to those that complain about aspects of their current employment, etc.

Times have certainly changed in many ways. One aspect has
not and won’t is; people do not like to be sold too.
To market effectively requires the art of communication
and knowing whom the art works with. We all are drawn to
creative people in different ways; some like colors, others
like the challenges of the construction, others like stories.

Wasn’t it just yesterday that you heard from your mother or
father that going to a good school was the only way to
make it in our world?

Effective learning comes from doing, from action on an idea
and seeing the action through to completion. To see if it works, if it produces
the results first thought and if not, improving upon it to try it again.
Not necessarily an invention of new but the creation of an idea,
a thought that could improve.

When we take the time to think, to dream, to create, we are
completing something of ourselves. Our brains are wired to do this and
by not allowing for this overall development to occur, you really are
robbing yourself of knowledge, of curiosity, of expression.

To exist just to work for others can pay bills, can make most think they
are making it through life. It is those that do not want to lay about near
their end wondering what if… that are not satisfied with doing what others say,
but by thinking and creating their pathways based on what others have
tried and improving on those efforts for themselves and others.
