Are You In Control Of What You Can Control?

A marketing professional should ponder this question many times when putting their efforts into online marketing objectives. Each day the prospective searchers create their own ideas of what is important to them, and type into the search engines words seeking their answers.

Can your marketing objective honestly know the combinations of word(s) those searchers are typing to find you? Absolutely not! You can not control what is being asked, searched for, or desired at any moment or is desired by them.

So what objectives should you be focused on in marketing your products or services on line? You may have the best product but if your focus is skewed or limited, you have missed more than one opportunity.

And that element may be the death of one more marketer today. And another next week. For what, a lack of focus? Or believing they have control? Dangerous thought process if you ask me.

Marketing objectives must have a purpose, no doubt; however some generalities must be assumable, and your focus is necessary here. You can’t expect to satisfy all, because once your words are written, whether in a blog, ads, articles, or sales page or your video is posted, your control element is now transferred to potential searchers at any time of their day; their decision!

Are you in control of what you can control?

You truly don’t know when someone is going to visit or decide that the keywords you’re expecting to be searched for, will be. It is not a crap shoot either. On line marketing relies on keyword research. This you do have control over. You also have control over the structure of the writings and words you create.

Marketing objectives come down to you first. Your product benefits are, the features are, and the name and branding identifier requires your focus, keyword research time, to ultimately open the “saloon-swinging-doors” to be accessible to each passerby. Your on line marketing objective is to be true to you first; write your words as though one individual is standing in front of you, you know has this need, and that you can satisfy them.

Communicate this benefit/feature effectively in the time it takes to ride an elevator from the 5th floor to the 1st. For they are soon gone, into cyberspace and from that point, you have either made an impression or not. No control over their specific decision, only the control over your presentation.

Realizing this limit of control, Network Marketing requires creative structuring of your presentation. You must be concise; informative and honest; controlling the only element you have, your marketing objectives.

Don’t sit back and see though. Your next product/project/task to complete is now your focus, for your on line marketing efforts must keep progressing.
