IT IS NOT A GOAL

There are many who dream; about being a professional athlete,
actor, corporate CEO, top sales person, rich – but there are only a few
that will take the necessary steps and complete those steps to reach
their dream. Dreams are a dime a dozen because many will not follow through.

They return to hope and wishing, like buying a lotto ticket and
first they dream what they would do if they actually won but then
return to just wishing they could get some of the numbers
to purchase another hope.

There are no real secrets to success.
Only steps to take to get you closer and closer and then, there.
Each step in the process is necessary. It takes time to act on some
of the steps, putting into action to get results. But the main characteristic
of those that complete each step is simply this; a commitment to complete.

A COMMITMENT TO COMPLETE

Those that have the desire to see the dream through have taken
the time to lay out the steps they believe will get them to their destination.
They plan, first in general terms on what is believed to get there
and then they drill into each phase outlining the steps in between each sub-goal
in order to reach the next plateau, which will lead to the final destination.

It requires desire; the desire to do whatever it takes.
It requires a vision; the vision to see not only where they want to go but
the intermediate steps that will take them there.
It requires a commitment; a commitment to complete each step before
moving on to the next step, THEN COMPLETING IT.

It is not magic. It is not foolish. It is not simple.
What it is – is action – devising the step and then acting on those steps
to completion that makes the difference.

If your goal is to be an online marketer, you need desire,
vision, action and commitment. But your most important asset is
the commitment to complete for without this, distractions and
negativity surrounds and drags and pulls at you.

It may be a funny video that a friend sends. You watch it and then
watch another one, and another. Soon time has slipped away and you now
cannot complete what you originally set out to do. So it gets put off till later,
the problem is for most, later never returns.

IT’S CHALLENGING: I CHALLENGE YOU

Expectations abound and dreams occur daily, it comes down to
the action you take that determines the success or failure of them.
It may not work on the first try, or the second, or the hundredth or
even the thousandth time. Tweaks’ and tries must be incorporated;
ideas recreated, additional action taken.

If you are struggling or just beginning, I challenge you
to look into your mindset. Are you working towards a dream;
are you planning out the steps to take; are you acting on this plan;
are you committed to complete them?

Time continues to march on regardless of what we try and do to stop it.
We look forward to expectations, be it a job, a vacation, a relationship
or riches. We envision what it might be like to reach each of these goals
or many others. Think of your own dreams and desires,
how would it feel to be there – NOW!

Each of these dreams, desires or goals have expectations associated
with them. Then if we reach one and the expectations were not realized,
are we disappointed or are our expectations set too high?

Ultimately, it is my opinion, that value is in the experience – beyond the expectation.

When you meet new people, these expectations are not there.
Depending on what these individuals bring to the table will
provide extreme value to the relationship. What you bring to the table adds
value to them as well. Value is what we should look for, should provide,
should strive to obtain because VALUE exceeds expectations.

This is what I believe is the value definition.
It is not expectation of reaching a goal but the experience
of getting to the goal and what experience the goal now provides.

Value is a word, true, one that is defined as;
“worth or the concept of worth”

My definition of value is this;

“the extra or unexpected received from the experience experienced”

An example would be taking a vacation and with the
accommodation costs being 1/2 to 2/3’s the cost of what is advertised.
Why this example; simple, this reduced cost allows me to do many extra
activities at my destination than what I could had I spent the money
advertised online at many vacation/resort sites.

Would you agree that value is received if your costs were reduced those amounts?

Luxury travel destinations could be described as having this type
of experience because if we are able to do more and more on our trips
or vacations, then more VALUE is returned in those travels.

This changes the whole dynamics for the word “luxury” in the
travel industry. Instead of spending $1,800 for one week to stay in Hawaii
you pay $800, what additional activities could you engage in?
Would that savings redefine your definition of luxury?

The experience received is what builds memories and if
these memories can be replayed, expressed to many and remembered
for a lifetime, would that provide value for that vacation?

Value definition is individual; it becomes an opinion, since we all do not
engage in the same activities. Regardless of this, being able to extend
the activities we engage in on each vacation, each trip,
adds value to the experience.

Value is, what is exceeded in the experience we experience that was
not expected and if you have the desire to travel more, then you do need to contact

LOOK BUT DON’T TOUCH

So has the unemployment situation hit you? I’m sure you know of someone
that lost their job or many that are fearing a loss. Our economy has hit a
massive wave of indecision and we see our ‘so-called leaders’ doing little to assist.
This concern grows on the citizens that can’t pull themselves away from the news.

It does not matter which party you are affiliated with or what movement –
what does matter IS what action you take. To sit idly by places
less food on the table, makes bills harder to pay or worse.

Unemployment figures today are not accurately portrayed due to the amount
of laid off individuals not even bothering to be in the ‘system’ since companies
are not hiring nor are the banks – that were bailed out by the citizenry -
loaning to assist businesses.

A recent statistic from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (July 2010) stated;

“Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rate for adult women
(7.8 percent) declined, while the rates for adult men (9.9 percent),
teenagers (25.7 percent), whites (8.6 percent), blacks (15.4 percent),
and Hispanics (12.4 percent) showed little or no change.
The jobless rate for Asians was 7.7 percent, not seasonally adjusted.”

WERE WE RAISED TO IDLE

When times are tough, it becomes necessary to look to other means
in which to survive. Opportunities come in many packages, however the
scared refuse to remove the wrappers. Continuously writing out a resume,
to write out a letter of hope, to fill out more paper work that finds
a file cabinet may seem like action, but is it really?

What is a resume anyway? Is it not a ‘self-promotion’ document?
We will not hesitate to write out our accomplishments and duties to ‘win’
another ‘trade my hours for dollars’ paper hoping that the lottery hits.
As humans, we have minds, ambition, ingenuity, common sense,
imagination, creativity, hobbies, interests and many other qualities
that if we take initiative, we can work for our future.

There are over 170,000 people that are utilizing the internet to find ways
to re-survive every day. Maybe they are looking for ways to begin working for
themselves or work from home by turning a hobby into a profit
generating action. Is that you?

“LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES”

If you have written a resume recently, you have participated in marketing;
the act of promoting yourself. Self promotion is no different than promoting
a product, a service or a program. The only difference is in the desperation
in which you act. And desperation is not the mood to be in regardless
of the item being promoted.

So you can’t tell me you have no experience in promoting.

There are billions (with a ‘b’) searching online every month for something.
Would you not think that you could provide something to some of them?

A CHANGE IS A CHANGING TO CHANGE

Being afraid can actually be turned into an opportunity provided a person
is willing to educate themselves, allow themselves to be taught and desire to
begin working for their future. To better ourselves in these turbulent times
could just be the ticket to working for yourself.

Is it a new day for you? Is it time to really make a change that can
