The Fear of Starting: Writing

In the last entry, we discussed what is required for online marketing and the two main components.

We also discussed some of the ways to market online. Creating your own product is a great way to generate income online. Your product can be quite powerful provided you have knowledge, experience and are placed in a large enough market that there are buyers wanting the information you create.

If you aren’t one to write or don’t feel that you can write then this may not be for you. However, writing an ebook does not require professional writing skills. This activity is made simpler by following a few logical steps and if you can do these steps, you can easily create an ebook in your niche market.

Steps to Create Your Own Best Seller

  • Organization of thoughts, subjects, ideas
  • Outline the structure
  • Plan the layout of each chapter
  • Write it
  • Review and rewrite
  • Read it out loud
  • Finalize the chapters
  • Sell it

Ok, that is simple right? Understand that proper research will practically write the ebook for you. The internet is full of credible information and if you’re somewhat knowledgeable about your subject, organizing this information will be an easy process. When researching, your main goal is to determine what people are searching for regarding your chosen subject.

You want to now what their particular questions or problems within that subject are so your solution provides them the answer and they begin to trust you. Because it solved their problem simply and quickly, they are now more inclined to trust your recommendations for related promotions.

Your organization is assisted by putting together a table of contents, one chapter flows into the next. This layout assists you for developing a sequential understanding of all concerns your readers may have and lets you know that all points have been covered. As the reader follows along, they find the solution they wanted and are happy they found you.

Your Research Writes It

By doing research early you can determine the structure of the ebook and how it solves related issues. The actual writing is molded and becomes simpler as you go over your notes. You will find that you’re into it and several minutes or hours will pass and you didn’t even realize it. Your creative side will flow.

They will either be able to comprehend your message or provide valuable questions and feedback to allow you to polish your ebook into a final effort.

Listen to the Words

One more review and you’ve completed it. Read it out loud. Make sure your thoughts are clear. By reading this out loud you may find words that were left out or a thought goes in a different direction than your had intended. This works wonders for any thing written, for out loud presents a different way of seeing, hearing and comprehending the written word.

Ebooks provide many benefits to you as a marketer. You may feel that it is more important to give away the ebook to enlist people to join your list building efforts. Valuable content is one of the best ways to grow your customer base, your list, and they will be hungry for more of what you have to say.

You may just want to sell your product. Place it on your site, write a sales letter and drive traffic there to get the sales. If you have done the proper research, organized it and reviewed to make sure your points are understood, read it out loud and listen to it, you are now on your way to success.

Congratulations, that wasn’t so hard

You can now write another ebook on a related topic, and even a third. Eventually you could have several written and be able to sell as a package or ecourse. This world provide a secondary income stream that simply started out as an ebook. You’re such a marketer!
