Email is simply a pathway on the web for information to be gathered. Keeping a prospect or lead in an off-page situation does not generate emotional buying responses. Causing their action to move from the off-page medium of email to on-page store front is the target, your goal.

Your email message should be structured in a way to inform, educate, excite into action through a format that is simple to read. To understand this, think back to when you read newspapers. It is easier for the eye to follow a column than spread-out blocks of text. Your eyes follow down quicker and the words are easily seen.
