Deciding what direction your marketing will go can provide some answers early on in your Network Marketing adventure. What are you promoting? What is your message? How do you want to deliver that message? How much money are you desiring to spend to get your message out?

Network Marketing by definition is communication. The Company you promote is secondary to how you communicate your message, because people are not going to join the Company. They are going to join you once they trust you. They are going to follow you when they feel assured that you have their best interests at heart.

And to Network Market effectively, you must have their best interests at heart.

GIVE BEFORE YOU GET!

In the Staircase Marketing Concept, you would be wise to spend some time, early, to write out some of your ideas regarding your business philosophy. Answer some basic questions to yourself, honestly. Such as, what is the reason I am doing this? What is your ‘Why’? Once you know why, the remaining items are much simpler.

What are some of your talents and/or interests? Do you like to write? Speak in front of a camera or a large group of strangers? Are you more interested in providing information to people to help them or develop software solutions? How familiar are you with the internet and the technology? Can you spend money now to market/advertise or will you need to pursue the business on a limited budget?

These are all important questions and you really should have answers, even if the answers are not completely concrete. They will evolve over time. The only constant is change and in business, being able to adapt, is a strength.

The biggest question though is, ‘Is this a hobby or a serious pursuit?’ Hobbies do not pay well; passions do!

Staircase Marketing Concept #1Effective communication in marketing must appeal to people’s emotion. People purchase based on emotion and justify that purchase by want. Striking the emotional cord within your visitors, readers and viewers is what provides your customers regardless of the company or product.

The Staircase Marketing Concept requires your next landing area (goal) be writing out the answers to those questions above and other questions you can think of. It truly is a brainstorming exercise. Marketing freedom only comes once you have drained the ideas in your brain, for now. You can come back and add to the list or take away after time away from it.

Answer those now as you are thinking about it, then after sleeping tonight, review your thoughts with your coffee (or other beverage) and make edits. You may think of additional items to add. These notes are not structured yet, they are just an outline of thoughts. Even side-bar notes can be good adding to those thoughts.

Having this list near can be of great assistance. Do not throw it away. There is valuable information here even if you can not see it today. Ideas may simmer for some time before a different marketing strategy develops and having these notes around can put one in motion or add to a unique marketing strategy you may be worked on.
