It is not hard work that necessarily sets the successful apart from the non, it mainly has to do with determination, an over-riding desire to pursue without giving up. Human nature has been described recently as lazy and this could be true however, I am more inclined to think that technology has replaced creativity which zaps a desire to succeed.

We now have more elements in our lives that provide instant gratification: a microwave to cook our dinners instead of creating in the kitchen the best meal; a vehicle to journey further and faster than ever before; multiples of channels to overpower us with information (perception information at best with little research to back it up).


Consumer influence will always be an emotional game. There are so many products we do not need to survive yet there are multitudes of products many “must” have, today. As Network Marketers, it boils down to our marketing message, unique marketing ideas and the delivery mechanism that determines our overall success.

Our products, services or programs are simply a mechanism of communication and how we display, present, package or promote them comes down to basic communication. No matter how good your item is if you are incapable of communicating its benefits emotionally, you will obtain little.

It has been more difficult online due to so many scams, or perceived scams, where consumers awareness is generally heightened. People do not like to be sold too. Your obligation is to not sell but inform through emotional channels to your customer base. Knowing what is desired from this base and why will set you, the marketer, apart from your competition.


This ultimately will require you to research, develop triggers, capture emotions of different demographics, and tap into the minds of your target market. Consumers are more sophisticated these days and are exposed to so much more but they are not necessarily more intelligent.

This is evident with the knowledge of useless products that are being purchased every day on both the internet and television. These ‘easy-fixes’ make consumers feel good at the moment of purchase then fades over time, just like new ebooks about making money online makes marketers feel good. They just don’t read and comprehend and it sits idly by on a hard-drive for years.

To reach your target market requires unique marketing ideas infiltrated with quality marketing messages delivered wisely. The consumer perception should be to sell themselves on your product/service/program which makes them feel good about the purchase, they’re most likely to use it and tell others about their experience.


You want to deliver value; the consumer value perception. They received more than was anticipated ‘resultive’ comes out of the marketing message you prepare and the delivery mechanism you’ve chosen to capture their emotional desire.

Value comes from receipt of more than anticipated when it was purchased. This can only be accomplished within the marketing message that is prepared to promote the item. It is not being “crafty” or mis-leading but by having a strong knowledge of your product and the market in which is best suited to purchase it.
